Work with local businesses
Build tools that respect how shops and independent service providers already serve their communities.
Chauraha is building a connected set of everyday services for smaller towns and rural India: local shops, local journeys and the people who make them work.
People already rely on neighbourhood shops, familiar routes and trusted local skills. Chauraha is designed to help them find and coordinate those everyday needs in one place.
We are preparing a focused local pilot first. That gives us a chance to listen to residents, merchants and service partners, learn what works in practice, and improve the product before expanding.
Our ambition reaches far beyond one town. Our operating model and the demand for each service still need to be proven through real use.
Build tools that respect how shops and independent service providers already serve their communities.
Use familiar language, understandable prices and clear next steps for customers and partners.
Learn from completed work, repeat demand, partner experience and operating costs before opening a new area.

Pilot preparationThe first goal is dependable service in a defined area, with local participants who choose to take part.
Availability will depend on the service area, participating businesses and approved partners. A listing or application does not mean that a service is already open.
